She runs on Dunkin', yoga pants, Prosecco, and a sure-fire will to make it happen

It's 4:00 am in the morning and this spit-fire is up and rearing to go. She's brewing her coffee, grabbing her notebook, and getting ready to service her first set of clients. No she is not a hussy, or a hooker recovering from a really bad hangover, she is Danai. Danai is a personal trainer and Small Group Training Manager at All Sport Health and Fitness Center in Fishkill, NY. She has a five year old son named Cameron who is not only blessed to have her, but he is also physically fit for a strapping young lad of five years old. I guess that's what happens when your Mom home schools you during COVID-19 and teaches you how to count by forcing you to do burpees and push-ups with her.
I met Danai four years ago when my husband and I joined the All Sport community. At that time, she was recently hired and taught the high intensity body attack classes and the barre classes. To know her is to love her. From the second I took a class with Danai, I was hooked. Her high-energy, humor, passion for fitness, and ability to turn the studio floor into her own personal comedy routine is what captivated me the most about Danai. She is the type of woman who can draw a crowd, gain a following, and doesn't stop learning all there is to know about the health and fitness field to better assist her clients. The same passion that she shares with the gym and with her clients, is the same devotion and dedication she shares with her five year old son. Danai is always taking him to fun events like snow-tubing in the winter, swimming in the summer at the local pool, and taking him to comi-con events where he can dress up like his favorite superhero - Spiderman. Danai and I quickly became friends as we had a lot in common - our addiction to Dunkin' Donuts coffee, our border-line obsessive love of alcohol and letting loose on the weekends, and our love of working out. We have so much in common. The one thing we did not have in common at the time was the fact that she had just given birth to her son Cameron, and I was no where near ready to have a kid yet. Our relationship blossomed as I took more classes with Danai. Every time I would complain and tell her I felt like I was in Guantanamo Bay because of her workouts, she would laugh and say sarcastically, "If you think this is bad, you should try having a kid."

This superwoman has made a huge impact in my life. She helped design a workout plan that fit me and my needs when I was pregnant with my son Niklaus. After I gave birth to Nik, she supported me on my post-pardum journey and designed workouts that molded my body back to normal in no time. She is a leader and motivator for others, but the biggest impression she has made on anyone in her life is her son Cameron. He adores her, looks up to her, and follows her on her fitness journey. He knows his mother works hard and understands that his mother runs on Dunkin', is fueled by Prosecco, loves yoga pants, and has a sure-fire will to be successful. This mama is top of the charts when it comes to being a working Mom who is battling the balance of keeping it all together.
Way to go Danai!
